Automated Traffic & Abuse Reporting

Information for webmasters, system administrators, and security teams regarding automated QA traffic from TestAngle.

What is TestAngle?

TestAngle is an automated quality assurance platform. Developers, QA engineers, and product teams use TestAngle to verify user flows, checkout funnels, and performance for websites and web applications they own or manage.

If you observe requests from TestAngle in your server logs, it is usually because an engineering team or partner working on your application configured an automated test suite targeting your domain.

Our Acceptable Use Policy

TestAngle’s Terms of Service strictly prohibit targeting third-party domains without explicit authorization or ownership. We enforce zero tolerance for scanning, scraping, credential abuse, or denial-of-service traffic.

Any customer account found initiating tests against unauthorized targets or generating abusive traffic is subject to immediate suspension and global domain exclusion.

How to Identify TestAngle Traffic

Automated requests from our platform identify themselves in the standard HTTP User-Agent header:

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 ... TestAngle-Bot/1.0 (+https://testangle.com/abuse; wid=ws_abc123xyz)

The wid= value represents the unique Workspace ID of the customer who ran the test. Providing this identifier when reporting an issue allows our team to take action immediately.

Robots.txt Support

TestAngle automated exploratory crawlers respect standard robots.txt directives. You can instruct our crawler to disallow visits using:

User-agent: TestAngle-Bot
Disallow: /

Request Domain Exclusion or Report Abuse

If you suspect unauthorized activity or wish to permanently prevent any TestAngle user from executing tests against your domain, contact our Trust & Safety team. We will review your request and add your domain to our global exclusion list.
