Terms of Service
Last updated: June 30, 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing, registering for, or using the TestAngle visual browser testing platform (collectively, the “Service,” “Platform,” or “Application”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”), our Privacy Policy, and all applicable laws and regulations.
If you are entering into this agreement on behalf of a company, organization, or other legal entity, you represent that you have the authority to bind such entity to these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not access or use our Platform.
2. Workspace Accounts & Security
To utilize the visual test builder and cloud runners, you must create a workspace account. You agree to:
- Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration.
- Maintain the absolute confidentiality of your credentials, password, API keys, and Robot account token profiles.
- Limit workspace seats and Robot account keys to authorized developers, QA engineers, and automated CI/CD runners.
- Promptly notify us at security@testangle.com if you suspect any unauthorized access to your workspace or secret keys.
TestAngle will not be liable for any loss, damage, or security breach arising from your failure to safeguard your credentials or from the exposure of your environment variables.
3. Subscriptions, Billing, and Quotas
We provide access to the Platform under various tiers (Free, Starter, Pro, Team, Enterprise) subject to the following billing policies:
- Billing Cycles: Paid tiers are billed in advance on a recurring monthly or annual basis (via Stripe). Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled before the renewal date.
- Limits & Enforcements: Plans dictate active project counts, parallel execution slots, concurrent interactive sandboxes, and logs retention timelines. Exceeding these limits may result in the temporary queueing or blocking of automated test executions.
- No Refunds: Except as required by law or explicitly stated, fees paid for active billing periods are non-refundable.
4. Acceptable Use Policy & Automated Target Abuse
Our Cloud Runners provision headless Chromium instances to interact with websites. To protect target servers and our hosting network, you agree **NEVER** to use our Platform or runners to:
- Execute automated visual or code tests against websites, APIs, or domains that you do not own, or for which you lack explicit written authorization to test.
- Deploy Denial of Service (DoS) or Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) simulations, load-testing benchmarks, or load spikes designed to exhaust target site bandwidth.
- Scrape content, harvest user credentials, or collect public data from competitors or unrelated third-party targets.
- Automate CAPTCHA-solving tools, distribute automated email spam, submit fraudulent web forms, or run ad-fraud click bots.
- Distribute malware, launch phishing campaigns, host command-and-control operations, or execute cryptocurrency miners on cloud worker instances.
Violation of this Acceptable Use Policy will result in the immediate termination of your workspace account, blacklisting of your payment profiles, and potential reporting to law enforcement authorities.
5. User Assets & Intellectual Property
- Your Content: You retain complete ownership of all visual test configurations, step assets, custom headers, trace histories, video recordings, and screenshots generated by your workspace (“User Content”). You grant TestAngle a limited, non-exclusive license to store, process, and execute this content solely to deliver testing services to your team.
- Our Platform: TestAngle owns all rights, titles, and interests in the Platform, visual builder layout, brand trademarks, source code, server runner orchestration, and error translation engines. You may not copy, reverse engineer, or redistribute our proprietary software.
6. Limitation of Liability & Indemnification
You understand that automated browser testing triggers actions on target environments (including clicking checkout buttons, submitting forms, or changing variables).
TESTANGLE AND ITS SUBPROCESSORS ARE NOT LIABLE FOR ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES CAUSE BY RUNNING AUTOMATED BROWSER SUITES. THIS INCLUDES TARGET SYSTEM CRASHES, ACCIDENTAL TRANSACTION CHARGES, PAGE CORRUPTIONS, LOSS OF REVENUE, OR THE ACCIDENTAL DISCLOSURE OF SECRETS DEPLOYED IN TEST SCRIPTS.
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless TestAngle and its officers from and against any claims, damages, liabilities, costs, or lawsuits arising out of (a) your misuse of the browser runners, (b) test actions executed against targets you do not own, or (c) your violation of these Terms.
7. Suspension & Termination
We reserve the right to suspend, restrict, or terminate your workspace access immediately if we detect:
- A violation of the Acceptable Use Policy.
- Failure to settle subscription invoices within 14 days of the due date.
- Actions that pose a threat to the stability or security of our Chromium runner clusters.
Upon termination, your right to use the Platform ceases, and your stored test configurations and secrets will be scheduled for deletion.
8. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any legal action arising out of these Terms shall be filed exclusively in the courts located in Delaware.
